Thomas Everett Arnold

Thomas Everett Arnold Jr., 90, peacefully entered his Lord’s presence January 5th,  2024. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Pearl Yvonne Perry, his devoted wife for 64 years.

Following their marriage, he attended Southwestern Bible Institute in Waxahachie Texas.  After graduating he and Pearl pastored a number of Assemblies of God churches in eastern and central North Carolina. When the family moved to Brevard in 1973, he said he would never move again.  He didn’t; he was home.   At his death, he was recognized as a retired, ordained minister with the Assemblies of God.

He also loved serving the community as an electrician. He did this until his health no longer allowed. Still, on occasion, his children receive phone calls requesting his excellent services.

He is survived by one sister, Earline Meekins of Wheeling, WV; sisters-in-law, Ethel Marie Rayle and Gail Duncan (Mike) of Greensboro and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was a wonderful father with a quick sense of humor and is survived by his 4 children, Thomas Everett Arnold, 111 (Fran) , Peter Anthony Arnold, Wanda A. Bryson and Cheryl A. Eakes (Kirk) and one granddaughter, Abigail Sophia Arnold.  All remain in the Brevard area and gratefully cared for him, particularly in the last 4 months of life. They respectfully remained by his side during the last hours of his life and are thankful for the support of Four Seasons Hospice.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 2:00 pm on January 20, 2024 at Destiny Church, 48 Tip Top Road, Brevard, NC. Destiny Church is graciously supporting the family also and their prayers are greatly appreciated.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Destiny Church or Four Seasons Hospice, 571 S Allen Rd, Flat Rock, NC 28731.
