Teri Jo Norris

Teri Jo Norris age 67 of Etowah, NC passed away peacefully with her husband by her side on February 27, 2024. Teri was born June 28, 1956, in Sussex, NJ to the late Phyllis A. LaPorta. She was also predeceased in death by her grandmother Margaret C. Strait, Brother Michael LaPorta, Aunt Sandra Smith, Mother and Father-in-Law Richard and Beatrice Norris, and special chosen mom Cora I. Dryman.

 Teri is survived by her loving husband of 28 years Dusty D. Norris; Daughter Cati Harris and her husband Chuck, Daughter Melanie Smith, Son Josh Norris, all of Etowah, NC; Grandchildren Jordan Ballard, Dustin Norris, Allex Carr, Kaylee – Jo Carr; Great-grandson Braxton L Burnett; Sisters Sally LaPorta (Brian), Peggy LaPorta, Sandee Barnwell (Brian Sr); Several Nieces and Nephews; Special Chosen Sisters Ora Passmore, Epatia “Sissy” Albertson, and Marcelle Andrews. Special Chosen Nieces Melissa Chapman, and Annette Justice. Teri was also known as “Nanny” to her pride and joy, special nephew Brian Barnwell, Jr. Brian Jr and his Nanny held a close, special unbreakable bond. We as a family greatly appreciate everything Brian Jr has done to ensure the Wife, Mother, Nana, Sister, and Aunt is given a beautiful send off to her eternal home. 

A celebration of Teri’s Life will be held on Tuesday March 12, 2024 at Destination Church located at 5575 Hendersonville Rd, Fletcher NC 28732 with visitation at 3:00pm followed by the service at 4:00pm with Graveside and Internment at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory located at 994 Hendersonville Hwy, Pisgah Forest, NC 28768.
