Ronnie Lee Stewman

Ronnie Lee Stewman, 88, of Pisgah Forest, died peacefully in his sleep on September 10, 2023 at the oaks of Brevard. Born in Sylva, NC, he was the son of the late Harley Roosevelt Stewman and Bonnie Chambers Frady.

Ronnie moved to Brevard in 1958 to work for DuPont, where he worked until his retirement in 1992 after 34 ½ years. He then worked as a greeter at Walmart for 13 years, always with a smile on his face.

A member of Turkey Creek Baptist Church, he served as a deacon and as a greeter for several years.

His loving survivors include his wife, Sue Myers Stewman; his children: Rhonda Patterson (Norman) and G. Kevin Stewman (Randi); grandchildren: Nathan Patterson (Alisa), Kevin Stewman, Jr., Savannah Stewman, and Kendra Stewman; great-granchildren: Hudson Patterson and Adelyn Patterson.

Ronnie will be greatly missed by all who knew him but his memory will live on in the hearts and lives of his friends and family.

Graveside Services will be held at 2:30 pm on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory in Pisgah Forest.
