Roger Emery Bowling

Roger Emery Bowling, 74, of Brevard, passed away on July 8, 2024. Born in St. John’s, Michigan, he was the son of the late grant and Edith Olney Bowling. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife of almost 57 years, Mary Bowling; daughter Mary Bowling Maybin, grandchildren, Devin Bowling and Cole Quinn; his brothers, Gary Bowling and Russell Bowling and his sister, Sandra Wright.

His life was a testament to always looking forward, never behind. He loved to tell jokes and make you laugh, and he was never afraid to tell you what was on his mind or how much he loved you. He loved fixing and repairing things and enjoyed tinkering. Never selfish, he was about his family and wanted nothing but happiness for his family.

His loving survivors include her children: Tammy Bowling-Weathers and Roger Bowling; grandchildren: Roger Bowling III (Taylor), Evan Bowling, Tony Allen, Ryan Yount, Ashelyn Clifton (David) and Dylan Parnell (Shelby), Bryce Bowling and Jayce Bowling; grandchildren: Jenson Parnell and Derek Clifton; his sisters, Norma Secord and Barbara Bowling and his brothers: Larry Bowling and Bob Bowling. 

Joint funeral services for Roger and Mary Bowling will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at Enon Baptist Church in Pisgah Forest.
