Robert "Bobby" Louis Owen



Brevard, NC - Robert "Bobby" Louis Owen, 56, died May 11, 2008 following a long struggle.

He was born September 18, 1951, in California. He was a highly decorated Vietnam Veteran. Not only was he a Son, Dad, Brother, Uncle and a Friend he was also a "HERO" and will never be forgotten. Our love will stay strong and he will always be in our hearts.

Mr. Owen is survived by his Mother, Arnetta Owen and Edward Hale of Brevard, a daughter and her husband, Alicia and Walter Hoye of Rosman, NC, a son and his wife, Vinson and Miranda Owen of Tampa, Fl., two grandchildren, LexieAnna and Marcelina Owen, two step-grandchildren, Ariana and Tyler Hoye, three sisters; Trudy and her husband Gary Irving of Jacksonville, Fl., Karen and her husband Terrell Orr and Tessa Libian both of Hendersonville, NC, four brothers; Curtis and wife Gracie Owen of Brevard, NC, Ronnie and wife Debbie Owen of Rosman, NC, Daniel Owen of Edneyville, NC and Michael and wife Barbara Owen of Brevard, NC and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Brenda Kay Miller Owen, two sons, Dustin and Jason Owen and father, Curtis Edwin Owen.

A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, May 29, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Moore Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Galloway Memorial Cemetery in Rosman, NC.
