Robert Vincent "Bob" Jennings

Robert Vincent “Bob” Jennings, 84, of Brevard, passed away on Friday, April 7, 2023. A native of West Hempstead, NY, he was the son of the late Frederick and Edith Mead Jennings. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, William Arthur Jennings.

After serving in the U.S. Army in Fort Sill Oklahoma for 2 years, Bob served 21 and a half years in the New York City Police Department at the Midtown South Precinct. In his free time he enjoyed visiting the Beaver Brook Hunting Club with his friends. After retiring in 1990, Bob worked as the head of maintenance for Hilton Hall Apartments in Garden City, New York. He was a member of the Elks Club in Brevard for many years. He also was the head of the Deer Track Community grounds for 8 years.

His family called him “Mr. Fix It” as Bob was a man of all trades and enjoyed home projects. He also loved spending time with his family, always making sure to attend his kids athletic and school events. His sense of humor always made everyone around him laugh - he seemed to have fun nicknames for everyone and family gatherings with cousins were made extra special with jokes from “Uncle Bob”.

His loving survivors include his wife of 50 years, Norma A. Jennings; their children: Frederick Jennings and his wife Stacey, of Colorado Springs, CO., and Kristine Jennings, of Phoenix, AZ.; and grandchildren Dominic Jennings, Tanner Haver and Tyler Haver.

A service will be held at a later date with family.
