Rachel Brown

Rachael (Becky) Donaldson Brown went to be with the Lord on August 11, 2018 at Pardee Hospital in Hendersonville, NC. She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Elba Donaldson; husband, Fred W. Brown; one son Donald F. Brown; five brothers, Roy, Grady, Bill, Lloyd (Dub), Milas (Mile); and two sisters, Ruth Donaldson Pitts and Janie Donaldson Shook.
She was with Transylvania County Social Services when she was recommended for a position at First United Methodist Church as an outreach person to help those in the community needing help. Later she became a social worker with Transylvania County Regional Hospital. She loved her community, going to garage sales, flea markets, and thrift stores. She loved her church, St. Timothy United Methodist Church, also.

She is survived by one daughter Carmen Brown Brock, husband Ronald (Bubba) of Mill Spring, NC; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; also, a dear, dear friend Pete Raines.

There will be a private graveside service at Blue Ridge Garden of Memories in Pisgah Forest, NC, on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at 2:00 pm. Then there will be a Celebration of Life on Sunday, August 19, 2018 from 3:00 to 6:00 pm at St. Timothy United Methodist Church in Brevard, NC.
