Pauline Nicholson

Pauline Gillespie Nicholson, 97, of Brevard, Passed away on December 14, 2016. A native of Transylvania County, she was the daughter of the late James Edward and Emma Adeline Baker Gillespie. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband William T. Nicholson, and her nine siblings: James, Arthur, Virgil, Elza, Freeman and Jesse Gillespie and Nola Rogers, Wilma Wright and Frances Patterson.
Mom went from walking in Pisgah National Forest to walking in the green pastures of Heaven with the Lord and her husband William Thomas Nicholson. She was a wonderful Christian mother and grandmother as well as a great friend to many. She volunteered often and set the bar high for all who knew her. When she was not working or volunteering, she could be found walking through the forest.
Mrs. Nicholson is survived by her son, James Edward Nicholson and wife Zoyla Del Carmen Nicholson of McAllan, TX.; her grandchildren Tommy Lynn Nicholson and wife Tracy of Edmond, OK, and Kim Ray Nicholson and wife Lori of Edmond, OK, great-grandchildren Brandon Nicholson and Shelby Nicholson and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services for Pauline Nicholson will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory with Dr. Fred Bahnson officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Transylvania Regional Hospital Foundation, 260 Hospital Drive, Brevard, NC 28712.
