Mary Mashburn

Mary Foster Mashburn, 82, of Mills River, passed away on Wednesday, August 11, 2021.  A native of Brevard, NC, she was the daughter of the late Wallace and Cora Lee Foster.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Jeannette Rahn and her brother Wallace Foster, Jr.

Working in her career as a dental assistant, she had a very outgoing personality and loved helping others rather than herself.  She had a good sense of humor and enjoyed gardening and watching the animals in her yard.

Her loving survivors include her husband of 53 years, David T. Mashburn; her sister Anne Foster Jones, sister-in-law Wanda Forster, nieces Lisa Langett, Denise Rahn Kiser, Suzanne Rahn Shope, Terri Foster Reese and nephew Nick Foster.

Graveside services for Mary Mashburn will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 19, 2021 at Gillespie-Evergreen Cemetery in Brevard.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Four Seasons Hospice, 571 S. Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC  28731.
