Brevard - Jerry O'Dell Meece, 62, died Monday, April 6, 2009 at his residence.
A lifelong resident of Transylvania County, he was the son of the late Albert Bryan "Red" Meece and Essie Lee Cantrell Meece. He is also preceded in death by his brother, James Albert "J.A." Meece, nephew, Gregory O'Brian Bridges, and great nephew, Danny Milton Waddell.
Surviving are his Sister - Mary Jane Meece Harrison of Brevard and Lyman, SC; niece, Pamela Jane Bridges Waddell of Lyman, SC; great nieces, Amanda Jane Waddell Cabe of Woodruff, SC and Shannon Morrison of Easley, SC; great nephew, Travis Waddell of Lyman; great-great niece, Emily Madison Cabe of Woodruff; great -great nephews,- Cameron and Zachary Morrison of Easley, SC
The funeral service will be held at 3 pm Thursday at Moore Funeral Home with the Rev. Gene King officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Moriah-Calvert Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
