Brevard - Janett Brooks McNabb, 74, passed away on Friday, November 7, at the home of her son. Janett was born on December 13, 1933 to Clarence Junior and Helen Hunsucker Brooks. She was the wife of Bennie Edward McNabb. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Mia Elizabeth McNabb.



Janett is survived by her two sons, Jeffrey Michael and wife, Linda of Waynesville, Timothy Edward and wife, Darlene of Biltmore Lake. She is also survived by three brothers, Mack Brooks and wife, Linda of Leicester, David Brooks and wife, Peggy of Hendersonville and Bob Brooks and wife, Mae of Marshall, four granddaughters, Micale Ann Sturtz and husband, Scott of Goldsboro, Jessica Selfridge of Ormond Beach, Florida, Phoebe McNabb of Biltmore Lake, and Amy Huggins and husband, Chuck of Brevard, two great grandchildren, Jackson Sturtz and Jacy Golden and several nieces and nephews.



Janett was a Customer Service representative with United Community Bank after retiring from Brevard Federal and RBC Centura. In her work, she made many friends who loved and admired her. Janett also loved to read. Her smiling face and special hugs will be missed by us all.



A Memorial service will be held at Moore Funeral Home on Saturday, November 15, 2008 at 3:00 PM with Rev. Bobby Smith officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 2:45 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.



In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Haywood Regional Medical Center Hospice, Leroy George Dr., Clyde, NC 28721.
