Jack M Levy, 73, of Kalamazoo, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at his home. He was born on December 23, 1942 in Ashville, NC and lived a number of years in Brevard before moving to Michigan with his parents, the late Robert and Helen (Lowenson) Levy.
Jack served in the US Army as a dentist, returned to Kalamazoo and set up his private practice and retired after over forty years of service. As a teenager he had served as a member of the Civil Air Patrol in Brevard. On June 18, 1967 Jack married the former Eunice Kraus, who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Paulette (Kyle) Thompson of Kalamazoo; two grandsons, Noah and Elijah Thompson; a sister, Thea (Barry) Fish of Ann Arbor, MI; a brother, Leonard (Lucy) Levy of Mt. Dora, FL; three brothers-in-law, Alan Kraus, Jerry (Linda) Kraus and Michael Kraus and his wife, Kathy Kordelski; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Temple B'Nai Israel, P.O. Box 19666, Kalamazoo, MI 49019 or to the charity of one's choice.
