Howard Rahn

Howard Stansell Rahn, 69, of Leicester, passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2017. A native of Hendersonville, he was the son of Elizabeth P. Rahn and the late Hermon Perry Rahn.

He was a graduate of Western Carolina University and also a Veteran of the United States Air force.

He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth P. Rahn of Brevard; his son Samuel Evan Kerins of Chicago; and sisters Beth Keener and husband Larry of Asheville, NC, Janice Almond and husband Steve of Pittsboro, NC, and Cynthia Lockamy and husband Kenny of Rougemont, NC.

Funeral Services for Howard Stansell Rahn will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 3, 2017 at First United Methodist Church of Brevard with Rev. Mike Holder and Rev. Lauren Sims-Salata officiating. Interment will be held at 11:00 a.m. the same day with Military Funeral Rites provided by the United States Air Force and The Transylvania County Honor Guard.
