Gloria Wilson

Gloria Marie Wilson, 93, of Brevard, passed away on Monday, December 3, 2018 at Transylvania Regional Hospital. A native of Wildwood, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Joseph and Teresa Frances Simansick Meyer. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Daryl Lloyd Wilson and her brothers Raymond J. Meyer, Jr. and Karl Meyer.
A mother of five, Gloria always had "sand in her shoes." She had grown up near the Atlantic Ocean and had always loved the beach. She also loved to read as was evident by the books she had accumulated over the years. She learned to cook only after she and her late husband, Daryl, had gotten married.

Her loving survivors include her children: Mike Wilson of Brevard; Barbara St. John of Brevard, Teresa Williams (Philip) of Ft. Myers, FL, Claire Marie McMasters (Knox) of Ft. Myers, FL, and Mary Louise See (Eric) of Ft. Myers, FL; 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; her sisters Claire Marie Saunders of Ft. Myers, FL and Lorraine Teresa Barnes of Ft. Myers, FL, her brother Jerome J. Meyer of Baltimore, MD; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Shawn O'Neal officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 AM prior to the service at the church.
