Pisgah Forest - Eva Ona Morgan Galloway flew to Jesus and a glorious reunion with many of her loved ones on Monday, October 12. She was born February 11, 1923 in Henderson County and lived most of her life in Pisgah Forest, NC. She passed peacefully at her home surrounded by loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Ivan Victor Galloway, Sr., her dear sister Nona Ruckman, Viola Nicholson, Media Morgan, Alma Morgan, her Mother and Father Maggie Huggins and Burton Erastus Morgan, her beloved son-in-law Bob Cantrell, granddaughter Tina King, Great Grandson Marty Buchanan. She is survived by her dear brother Johnny Morgan and wife Betty. She will be greatly missed by her five children and their spouses, Victor and Ellen Galloway, Elayne Cantrell, Gail and Ron Forester, Dawn and Arturo Guerra, Buck and Yvonne Galloway and a very special niece and nephew Karen and Marshall Pritchard and Jim Ruckman. She leaves her precious grandchildren Mark and Danielle, Matt, Jonlyn and Scott, Jennifer and Paul, Lisa and Bruce, Travis and Jennifer, Mia, Vanessa and Mike, Sonja and Joel, Derrick and Shelley, Alanna and Josh, T.J. and Cassandra, Dominic, Darian, two special great nephews Gabe and Reagan, Nic and Nicole and a favorite son Steve Sitton. She also leaves 22 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, all of whom she loved as her own. Pallbearers will be Mark Galloway, Matt Galloway, Travis King, T.J. Aiken, Gabe Bowman, and Nic Bowman. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dominic Guerra and Darian Brehm.
Her life was happily spent loving and nurturing her family and friends. Her career as a hairdresser was also a joy for her and made her countless lifelong friends. You are invited to visit with her family on Thursday evening from 6 - 8 at Moore Funeral Home in Brevard. A service of love will be held at Calvary Mission Baptist Church on Friday afternoon at 2:00. To us all she would say," I love you with all my heart". To her, Mom, Nanny, Sister, Aunt, Cousin, Friend, we would say, "We love you and miss you and we'll see you again one day."
