Doris M. Owen

Brevard - Doris M. Owen, 72, died Sunday, September, 13, 2009 at Mission Campus. A native of Transylvania County, she was a daughter of the late Cicero and Gertrude Gillespie. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Mark Douglas Owen.

Mrs. Owen attended Brevard Community Church. She is survived by one son; Leonard Wayne Owen and wife Kay D. of Brevard, NC, two brothers; Roger and Gary Gillespie both of Brevard, NC, one sister; Joann Johnson of Jacksonville, Fl., three grandchildren Hayley, April and, Casey five great grand children and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, September 19, 2009 at Moore Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Alan Perry officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
