Deltha Reese Landreth



Brevard - Deltha "Aunt Deltha" Reese Landreth, 100, died Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at her residence.

A native of Transylvania County, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Cleveland C. Reese and Jessie Raxter Reese and was the wife of the late Ralph Landreth. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Marie Guinn, son Gertha Landreth, 4 sisters, 3 brothers, and 2 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Landreth was the oldest member of East Fork Baptist Church.

Surviving are her daughters, Thelma Kitchen and husband Joe of Brevard, and Joyce Lovelace and husband Ronnie of Brevard; sons, Kenneth Landreth and wife Frances of Brevard, and Leroy Landreth and wife Susie of Brevard; 20 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren, a number of step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday at East Fork Baptist Church with the Rev. Douglas Tankersly officiating. Burial will be in Carr's Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 PM Thursday at East Fork Baptist Church.
