David Keith Borden

David Keith Borden, 67, of Brevard, passed away on September 23, 2023. Born in Franklin County, Ohio, he was the son of the late John Harry and Jean O’Harra Borden. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Catherine “Kit” Borden.

He is survived by his step-children, William Vidrine and Robert Vidrine (Krystal); his sisters: Cheryl Eshelman, Deborah Cook and Dianna Patchett; and his sisters-in-law, Sarah Mead (Don) and Frances Buchholz.

Raised in Fortville, Indiana, David attended Mt. Vernon high School. After school he traveled the country extensively. His travels gave him an opportunity to learn many trades, all of which he used throughout his life.

His greatest joy was when he met his future wife, Kit, and her two sons, Robert and William and became a dedicated part of their lives for over forty years.

David never asked for much, but he gave a lot. We will miss his humor. He had an incredible ability to smile and make others smile, even through a very hard journey.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at St. Phillips Episcopal Church in Brevard.
