Connie Lynn Johnson Daniels, 69, of Penrose, passed away on September 24, 2019 due to complications associated with frontotemporal dementia, a disease she had lived with for the last several years. A native of Blue Ridge, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late John and Ruth George Johnson and the adopted daughter of Ray and Faustina Johnson. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
Connie was born in Blue Ridge, GA before moving with her family to Pisgah Forest at a young age. She graduated from Brevard High School, and attended Appalachian State University, graduating in 1972. Possessing the patience of a saint, she taught 7th Grade for over 30 years at Brevard Middle School. She enjoyed reading, going for walks, and spending time with her family.
Her survivors include her husband, Robert Daniels; their sons John Daniels (Allison) of Charlottesville, Virginia, and Jordan Daniels (Kate) of New Orleans, Louisiana; and her sister, Jean Johnson of Pisgah Forest
A Memorial Service for Connie Daniels will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, September 28, 2019 in the chapel of Moore-Blanchard Funerals & Cremations.
The family wishes to thank the hardworking and loving staff at The Kingsbridge House, where Connie spent the last five years of her life.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration at theaftd.org are encouraged.
