She was predeceased by her loving husband of 55 years, Gerald Lehman Turbyfill, a brother, Harry Duard Coulter and a great grandson.

Her surviving children include her daughter Debbie Loeb (Doug) of Brevard North Carolina, son Mike Turbyfill (Lucy) of Sugar Grove, North Carolina, and daughter Martha Post (Sterling) of Brevard, North Carolina. She is also survived by six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

Catherine and her late husband “Turby” eventually retired from Atlanta and spent years living on Lake Hartwell before moving to Connestee Falls in 2004.

She was a dedicated homemaker, skilled in sewing, making many of her and her children’s clothes as well as quilting. She enjoyed playing bridge, reading, and being with friends and neighbors. She is remembered as “Meme” to her grandchildren and great- grandchildren and was adored by them all. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed making cookies for the family and neighbors. Catherine’s legacy will live on through the love she shared, the memories she created and the impact she left on those who were fortunate to know her.
