Carroll Leach

Carroll "Carl" Leach, 84, of Brevard, passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2018. Born in Beaver Dam, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Elijah Buel and Mary Susan Rains Leach. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Gene Leach and his granddaughter Renee Atterholt Beebe.

A veteran of the U S Air Force, he was a graduate of Garfield School and attended Kent State University, where he worked as Director of Business Services until his retirement. He moved to Brevard in 1995 and worked as a volunteer with Sharing House. He was an avid sailor and enjoyed camping and the outdoors.

His loving survivors include his wife of 64 years, Barbara Eiber Leach; his children Cynthia A. Atterholt (Dan) of Waynesville, Kenneth M. Leach (Amy) of St. Augustine, FL, and Catherine Stone (Vernon) of Lanexa, VA; grandchildren Chad, Marci, Kristen, Jodi and Holly; and 12 great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service for Carl Leach will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, March 11, 2018 at St. Philips Episcopal Church in Brevard. Interment will be in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.
