C. Holden

C. Detric Holden, 83, of Quebec, passed away on Monday, February 25, 2019. A native of Rosman, NC, he was the son of the late Isaac and Lillie Head Holden. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by seven brothers and one sister.
Detric was a veteran of the United States Army. After his service to our country, he worked for Olin Corporation in Pisgah Forest. He then began his 31-year career with Citizen Telephone Company in Brevard, NC until he retired in December 1997.
He was a devoted family man who loved his wife, 2 children and his granddaughter, Isabella. He also had a passion for gardening, fishing and hunting. He was a friend to everyone who knew him.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Joan W. Holden; daughter Melody H. Atari of Columbus, NC and son Duane M. Holden of Fletcher, NC; granddaughter Isabella Atari of Columbus, NC; sister Shirley Ashe of Defuniak Springs, Fl.
A Memorial Service for Detric Holden will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 16, 2019 in the chapel of Moore-Blanchard Funerals & Cremations Elder Roger Galloway officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. A reception will follow the service at the Rosman Town Hall.
