Boyce Galloway

September 20, 1943 — November 15, 2020

Tamassee SC

Boyce Jimmy “Jim” Galloway, 77, of Tamassee, SC, formerly of Rosman, NC, went home to his Savior, on Sunday, November 15, 2020. To all who knew him, he was a good man and a child of the King. He was the son of the late Wiley Kenneth and Bessie Burrell Galloway. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his sister, Patsy Galloway Patterson. His beloved son, Ben, was also there to welcome him home.

Jim was a simple man whose greatest joy was to spend time with his family, enjoying good food, making happy memories. His legacy is his Christian walk; his love for God and church attendance at Lakeview Baptist Church in Pickens, South Carolina. He loved his pastor, Mike Belcher, and his church family dearly. He was a Godly example of husband, father, papa and friend to all. He was a paper maker at Ecusta for 42 years and finished his working career at M.B. Industries in Rosman where he said it was like family.

His loving survivors include his devoted wife of 50 years, Peggy Cagle Galloway; his first-born son Chris and wife Shannon, of Rosman, NC; his daughter-in-law Wendy White Galloway of Salem, SC; the pride and joy of his life were his grandchildren: Christa, C.J., Riley and Weston Galloway. He was loved dearly by his many nieces and nephews and brother-in-law Odell and sister-in-law Lue.

Due to Covid 19 restrictions there will be a private burial.
