Boone Moody Smith

Boone Moody Smith, 74, of Brevard, passed away on Friday, January 12, 2024. A native of Atlanta, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Blanton and Nancy Moody Smith. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Blanton Smith, Jr.

An Atlanta Debutante, she was a true force of nature. She was highly principled, believing the only way to do something was the right way and no corners were to be cut, regardless of the situation. She was honest to a fault.

The consummate hostess and cook, she loved to entertain. She was an equestrian and she loved Porsches!

If she was needed, she was always available, and loved relentlessly.

Her loving survivors include her husband of 22 years, Robert “Bob” Morris; grand-children Grace Morris, Kent Morris and Alex Morris; sister-in-law Elke Smith; nieces Kiki Smith and Babette Smith and nephews Ian Smith and Chris Smith; and her best friend for life, Lindsay Robertson.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Friends For Life Animal Rescue, 515 N. Broad St., Brevard, NC 28712 or the Brevard Music Center, P.O. Box 312, Brevard, NC 28712.
