Argyle Gash, 93, passed away suddenly on January 30, 2022. She was born in Buncombe County but spent most of her life in Transylvania County. Argyle was the daughter of Ott and Alma Wells. In addition to her parents she is predeceased by her husband of 16 years, William Gash, whom she married in 1950; a brother, Arnold Wells, and a grandson-in-law, Jeremy Chrisman.
Argyle loved the Lord and was a member of the Etowah Presbyterian Church for 72 years. She retired from Brevard College in 1994 after 25 years of service, Argyle was always reading her Bible and doing word puzzles in her later life. She delighted in seeing the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was always asking about what they were doing.
Argyle is survived by three children: Judy Harden of Hendersonville, Bill Gash of Pisgah Forest, Patricia Gash of Pisgah Forest; one granddaughter, Julie Chrisman and three grandsons: Josh Harden (Chloe), Christian Gash, Gabriel Gash; and three great grandchildren: Julia Chrisman, Jase Harden and Lane Harden. She is also survived by two sisters: Pat Morgan of Horse Shoe and Jean Huggins of Hendersonville.
Graveside rites will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at Blue Ridge Garden of Memories in Pisgah Forest (formerly Pisgah Gardens).
