Anne Coffee Weed, 92, of Brevard, passed away on January 14, 2024, after a long illness. Born in Chamblee, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late John Coffee and Toni Sirman Coffee. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Lawrence G. Weed, one sister and 5 brothers.
Anne was a woman of strong faith. Her beliefs carried her throughout life, through years of volunteer work and as a Sunday School teacher. She was a long-time member of St. Timothy United Methodist Church. She loved Sunday services and her ladies quiddler group. Before her move to Brevard, she was a beloved member of Nacoochee United Methodist Church, in Sautee-Nacoochee, GA.
Anne had a natural ability to do what is right, always putting others before herself. She had a sunny personality and was loved by anyone fortunate to know her.
In her words, these brought her joy: "Going to church, being with family, walking on beaches, playing in water, sailing, mountain scenery, taking walks, people watching, watching babies grow up, holding babies, petting dogs, sunrises and sunsets, watching flowers grow, working and completing a job well done."
Her loving survivors include her daughter, Angela Matulich (Mark); grandsons Daniel Matulich (Courtney) of Louisville, KY and Phillip Matulich of Brevard, NC, great-granddaughter, Hannah Matulich of Louisville, KY, great-grandson, Samuel Green of Louisville, KY, and several nieces. Her two loving Havanese dogs, Nina and Jett, loved her greatly.
Services will be in Sautee-Nacoochee, Ga, held at a later date. Donations may be made to St. Timothy United Methodist Church.
